Intumescent Fire Grille
Intumescent fire grilles are constructed with a rust preventative zintec coated steel frame containing slats encasing strips of graphite based intumescent material.
The purpose of the Intumescent Fire Grille is to allow ventilation while maintain each individual compartments fire rating.
The intumescent material reacts when in contact with fire to expand and fill the area inside the grille, cutting off oxygen from the fire and acting as a barrier to prevent the spread of fire.
They are often installed in doors, walls and partitions.
- Certified to BS476 parts 20 & 22
- Effective protection for 30, 60 and 120 minutes

Intumescent Sealant
A graphite based intumescent used to seal around articles of penetration through a fire barrier.
Its use ensures the integrity of the fire barrier is protected in respect of creating a seal around any gaps.
For use when installing intumescent fire grilles and other passive fire components. Certified to BS standards for up to 4 hours.
